Had a great experience here today. I ordered a philly cheesesteak, slaw dog, fries, and a fried apple log. Nothing disappointed, albeit one item definitely was my favorite. Let's start with the slaw dog. It was cooked fine and had a generous amount of slaw on top. Slaw was solid. I don't want to make it sound like this was gourmet food, but for $2 it was definitely a fine value. The philly was good, but the bread was a little on the thick side. I'd like to see a little more steak and veggies, and a little less bread if possible. However, for the price, it's still a really good value. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the cheese was good. The steak itself was a little dry. Between the steak and the bread, you are gonna need a large cup of soda or tea to wash it down. But honestly, I'm ok with that. I enjoyed this philly. Especially when considering the price. The fries were fine. They weren't incredible. But they were fried properly and were not overly seasoned. Again, for the price, a solid value. Then my favorite part, the apple log. Let me say up front, this is not a high quality dessert. It's honestly low rent fair food. And goodness I loved every bite. Sometimes trash food is what I'm in the mood for, and that is what the apple log is. It's the type of food you aren't supposed to like, but for some reason you love. Probably the lowest quality item in my lunch. And by far my favorite. For a little over $12 I got a lot of food here. And I think it's good quality for the price. It's not healthy eating, but it's yummy all the same. And the ladies working behind the counter were incredibly friendly. They were patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted to order, as it was my first time visiting. Will be back. Probably many times.

I absolutely love places like this, it’s too bad they are all slowly disappearing. I had the King Burger Deluxe, which was such a great hamburger experience. Juicy, with just the right toppings. I also had some delicious golden brown onion rings. Some of the best I’ve had in a very long time. Do you love a good burger with onion rings, you have to come here. Didn’t try the wiener, maybe next time. If you’re in town or passing through, you have to stop at the Wiener King, they have great T-shirts too.

Just like it’s always been but with a huge menu! Friendly staff, fun environment, patrons from all walks, and all treated the same. Lots of history here and lots of usuals known by name. I try to stop any time I have the ability on visits back home or business travels. Definitely make the stop!

This restaurant has everything, if you like great service, friendly staff, absolutely great food, and an owner that calls you by name, this is the place. Jim(owner) friendly and truly shows his appreciation for your business. Homemade Ham n Beans with fresh corn bread, best I've had. Homemade chilli that makes you feel at home. I'm so pleased to call this one of my top 5 eating establishments. Not to forget the Philly Cheese Steak n the Black n Blue burger delicious.
